Kevin Sullivan, a legendary figure in professional wrestling and a prominent rival of Hulk Hogan, has passed away at the age of 74.

The WWE confirmed Sullivan’s death on Friday, August 9 2024 honoring him as a “unique and influential figure in sports-entertainment history” known for his innovative ideas that pushed creative boundaries both in the ring and behind the scenes.
Sullivan’s death was also reported by Slam Wrestling, citing his friend Barry Rose. While the cause of death was not specified, the report highlighted Sullivan’s recent health struggles.
Earlier this year, Sullivan’s daughter, Nicole, launched a fundraiser on GoFundMe following a critical medical emergency.

Sullivan suffered a severe accident in Florida on May 12, 2024, which led to emergency surgery and subsequent complications, including sepsis and encephalitis.
Sullivan’s wrestling career began in the 1970s and saw him rise to prominence in WCW during the 1990s. Known for his rivalries with stars like Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, and The Road Warriors, Sullivan later transitioned to a role as a booker for WCW.
Ric Flair paid tribute to Sullivan on X, expressing his sorrow: “I Am So Saddened To Hear About Kevin Sullivan’s Passing. Rest In Peace Kevin! You Were An All Time Great Athlete & Friend!”
