The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has been a top target for Marseille’s newly-appointed coach, Roberto De Zerbi, who sees Carboni as an ideal fit for his project.
Valentin Carboni, impressed by De Zerbi’s vision, pushed for the move as a crucial step in his career. Last season, he was loaned to Monza, where he gained valuable first-team experience and secured a regular starting spot.

Inter Milan and Marseille have agreed on a loan fee of around €1 million, with an option for Marseille to make the deal permanent for approximately €40 million.
Inter, however, retains a buyback option, ensuring they have control over Carboni’s future.
This move comes after significant interest from other clubs, including Atalanta and Fiorentina. Carboni’s development at Marseille will be closely watched as he aims to further his career in senior football.
