There is some positive news for the family of Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman.

His 3-year-old son, Maximus, has returned home from the hospital after a challenging battle with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS).
Maximus was diagnosed with a severe case of GBS, a rare neurological disorder where the immune system attacks the nerves.
This condition left him paralyzed and requiring a ventilator in the intensive care unit. After nine days of intense treatment and care, Maximus is now home with his family.

Freddie Freeman, rejoined the Dodgers after a two-week absence on Monday, August 5 2024, was deeply moved by the support from his team.

During pregame workouts, every Dodgers coach and player wore new T-shirts featuring Freeman’s name and number, along with the phrase “#MaxStrong” in solidarity.
“It’s the first time I cried today,” Freeman said, expressing his gratitude for the team’s support.
Freeman also shared the emotional toll of witnessing his son’s struggle. Max will continue to undergo therapy to regain his strength and relearn how to walk.
Despite the difficulties, the Freeman family is relieved to have Maximus back home and is focused on his recovery.
