The protests, under the banner #EndBadGovernance, have seen many Nigerians take to the streets to voice their frustrations over economic hardships and ineffective leadership.

The demonstrations have ignited a debate on social media, with some criticizing celebrities for not actively supporting the cause.

In response, Simi expressed her solidarity with the protesters on Twitter, affirming her commitment to the movement.

DJ Switch, a well-known celebrity DJ and human rights advocate, has also spoken out strongly.

She challenged Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, and Asari Dokubo, a former militant, to address the root causes of the protests—hunger and poor governance—rather than trying to suppress them.

DJ Switch criticized their threats and urged the government to address the issues with effective solutions instead of using force.

Asari Dokubo and Nyesom Wike had both warned protesters against coming to Rivers State and Abuja, respectively. Dokubo threatened violence, while Wike promised to maintain order and prevent disturbances.

In her message, DJ Switch encouraged Nigerians to support each other and view the protest as a chance to push for meaningful change.

She warned against allowing the movement to falter and reminded people that true change often requires sacrifice and perseverance.
