Manchester United recently submitted an opening double offer for the pair, which was rejected by Bayern Munich, who demanded a higher fee to reach an agreement.
Optimism was high at Manchester United and among the players’ representatives, as they believed the offer would meet Bayern’s expectations.

This rejection has caused confusion within the camp of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, both represented by Rafaela Pimenta, based on their understanding of the required terms.
Bayern had previously informed the pair that they were not part of the club’s future plans and encouraged them to seek transfers, promising to facilitate the process.
The resistance encountered by Manchester United’s inquiries has led the players’ representatives to question Bayern’s stance, but the club has reiterated its position.
