On Wednesday, July 31, the 19-year-old diver and her teammate, Lois Toulson, 24, secured third place at the Aquatics Centre, taking their place on the podium.
Fred Sirieix, the well-known TV star, was seen cheering from the stands as they received their medals.
Following the event, Sirieix shared his excitement on social media, raising a glass of Champagne in a video on X.
“This is the most beautiful feeling,” he said. “I am bursting with pride, bursting with happiness and joy. It feels like I’m going to explode. Girls, well done. Thank you very much for this amazing day.”

Sirieix is part of the BBC’s presenting team at the Games. His daughter, who made her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 at just 16, has since achieved individual titles at the 2022 Commonwealth and European Championships.
Her bronze medal in Paris makes her the first British woman to medal in an individual Olympic diving event.
In an interview before her victory, Spendolini-Sirieix emphasized that success is about more than medals. “A competition doesn’t define who I am but I really want to make memories,” she said. “Without those memories, those medals are worthless.”
