La Liga club Sevilla is close to finalizing a deal with Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho for a two-year contract.

Iheanacho, who is 27, arrived in Spain on Monday to complete medical tests before officially signing with the club.
He is set to join Sevilla on a free transfer after recently leaving Leicester City, where his contract ended.
Sevilla is aiming to strengthen their attack for the upcoming season, and Iheanacho’s arrival is seen as a key move.
The Nigerian forward has had a distinguished career, including notable achievements at international youth tournaments.

Iheanacho was a standout player at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he was named the best player and finished as the second-highest goalscorer, helping Nigeria secure their fourth title in the competition.
He also participated in the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup and made his senior international debut that same year.
His international career includes appearances in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2021 and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was a runner-up in the latter.
Iheanacho has been recognized as the Most Promising African Talent twice and was included as a substitute in the 2016 CAF Team of the Year.
