Governor Ned Lamont’s office confirmed Bucha’s death and highlighted his heroic actions from March 16 to March 19, 1968, near Phuoc Vinh, Vietnam.
As the commanding officer of Company D, Bucha led his men against a much larger enemy force, taking strategic actions that resulted in significant enemy losses.
