Though he is best known for his piano skills, Mayall’s talent extended to the harmonica and guitar as well.
A notable example of his versatility is his 1967 album, “Blues Alone,” where he played every instrument himself, except for the drums.
Over his impressive career, which spanned more than 60 years, Mayall recorded an estimated 60 studio albums.
This number excludes his influential work with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, a band he started in the 1960s.
