Alexander Djiku Thrilled by Fierce Fenerbahçe Squad Competition Under Mourinho

Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku has lauded Fenerbahçe as a prestigious club, while also highlighting the intense competition within the squad. The 29-year-old is currently under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, who was appointed as the Turkish side’s head coach in June.

Recent photos from a Fenerbahçe training session, showing Mourinho with his arm around Djiku, have gone viral, sparking positive interpretations among Ghanaians on social media regarding their budding bond.

Since joining Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer from Ligue 1 side Racing Strasbourg, Djiku has established himself as a key player. His praise for the competitive environment and his evident connection with Mourinho suggest a promising season ahead for both the defender and the club.
