In an interview with Accra FM, he accused the GJA of organizing a press conference against him on the government’s orders.

He urged journalists to be truthful and not to compromise their integrity for personal gain, suggesting that part of the money should be donated to charity.

Captain Smart also criticized the NPP, advising Ghanaians to reconsider supporting the party in the upcoming December elections.

He described the administration as one that should be rejected, labeling those who might vote for them as lacking sense.

In response, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, the GJA president, condemned Captain Smart’s remarks as reckless and inappropriate.

He called for Media General to impose sanctions on Smart, emphasizing that while accountability is crucial, it should not involve hate speech or personal attacks.

Dwumfour stressed the importance of maintaining professionalism in journalism and enhancing public trust in media organizations.
