The revelation came during an interview with BBC News, where Reeves appeared alongside author China Miéville to promote their new novel, The Book of Elsewhere, which intriguingly features an immortal character.

Reeves, who turned 59 this year, confessed, “I’m thinking about death all the time,” in a conversation that touched on his personal reflections and the themes of their collaborative work. The Matrix veteran explained that while these thoughts are persistent, he aims to keep them in perspective.

“Hopefully, it’s not crippling, but hopefully, it’s sensitized [us] to an appreciation of the breath we have, and the relationships that we have the potential to have,” Reeves said.
The Book of Elsewhere draws inspiration from Reeves’ popular BRZRKR comic book series.
Reeves expressed his passion for the medium, stating, “I love the images. I love words and storytelling and I love the way that you can have this engagement that overlays. And so you can look at the art and then you can follow the story.”
