This announcement comes on the heels of his meteoric rise to international fame since breaking into the mainstream in 2022 with a series of chart-topping hits housed in two critically acclaimed albums.
Asake’s second headlining concert at the O2 Arena is scheduled for September 21, 2024, marking another significant milestone in his burgeoning career. His first performance at the famous 20,000-capacity hall in 2023 was a sold-out success.

The upcoming concert is one of the stops on his eagerly anticipated “Lungu Boy” tour, which is set to kick off in August 2024. In preparation for the tour, Asake has announced the release of his new LP, Lungu Boy. This album will be his third in three years and the fourth project since January 2022, demonstrating his prolific output and dedication to his craft.

So far in 2024, Asake has released only one single, “Only Me,” which was a surprise drop on his birthday. Despite the limited solo releases this year, he has maintained a high profile through a series of breathtaking guest features, collaborating with stars such as Zlatan, Ayra Starr, Victony, Tems, and Central Cee.
Adding to the excitement surrounding his new album, reports suggest that Asake has a forthcoming collaboration with American superstar rapper Travis Scott. This partnership is poised to further elevate his profile on the global stage.
Asake’s return to the O2 Arena places him among an elite group of Nigerian artists, making him only the third, after Davido and Wizkid, to headline the renowned venue more than once.
