Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has publicly addressed swirling rumors about his alleged multiple side chics.

The accusations, which originated from controversial blogger Gistlover, included high-profile names such as Nancy Isime, Hilda Baci, Wanneka, Ini Edo, and Dakore Egbuson among those supposedly linked to Akpabio.
In a recent statement, Akpabio recalled his previous remarks made to Senator Natasha Akpoti, where he suggested their discussions were not part of a “club” where shouting was necessary. This comment, he noted, unexpectedly sparked a frenzy on social media, leading to his wife’s phone being overwhelmed with over three thousand calls daily, ultimately causing her phone to crash.
The Senate President expressed a degree of amusement over the intense public interest in the Senate’s internal affairs, while firmly refuting the claims of infidelity. Akpabio clarified that he has only one wife and is fully content with his marital relationship.

In addition to addressing the rumors, Akpabio offered a direct apology to Senator Natasha Akpoti, acknowledging that his comments might have unintentionally caused her distress.
Akpabio’s response aims to quell the speculations and reaffirm his commitment to his family amidst the swirling controversy.
