Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson Akande is taking a firm stand against the Gistlover blog after being falsely accused of being a side chic to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The actress has initiated legal proceedings against the controversial blog, which recently published unfounded claims linking her to Akpabio.
The accusations emerged from Gistlover, which alleged that Egbuson, along with several of her colleagues, was involved in an illicit affair with the Senate President.
Egbuson has vehemently denied these allegations, asserting that she has never met Akpabio and is happily married with two children.
In response to the defamatory claims, Egbuson has taken decisive legal action. She shared a cease-and-desist letter on her Instagram page, demanding that Gistlover immediately remove her photo and retract all defamatory statements made against her.

The letter details a 24-hour ultimatum for Gistlover to comply with the demands. Failure to do so will result in aggressive legal action, including the pursuit of damages, injunctive relief, and compensation for legal costs incurred due to the defamation.
