By 2016, his wealth was estimated to be between £55 million and £150 million, including his wife’s expected inheritance.
Rees-Mogg is known for his traditionalist and socially conservative views. A prominent Eurosceptic, he was a strong advocate for Brexit and proposed an electoral pact between the Conservative Party and the UK Independence Party (UKIP). His steadfast positions and distinctive style earned him the moniker “The Honourable Member for the 18th Century.”
