Nana Yaw Amponsah, a well-known football administrator, has left his position as President of Moldovan club Petrocub Hîncești after six months.

This decision was announced by Samaritan Investment, a group representing Amponsah. According to their statement, the separation came about due to “unusual activities” discovered at the club and a “mismatch in vision.”
Despite the split, the statement highlighted the positive accomplishments during Amponsah’s tenure.
Amponsah joined Petrocub Hîncești in January 2024 and played a significant role in leading the team to their first Moldovan Premier League title and winning the Moldovan Cup trophy.
Reflecting on his departure, Amponsah mentioned that it was time for a “new exciting chapter” in his career.
