On July 10, 2024, Balogun used his Instagram account to point out the double standards celebrities often face.
He argued that while people are free to voice their opinions, celebrities should also be free to take actions necessary for their well-being.
He highlighted the hypocrisy by mentioning how ordinary people use police for minor disputes, but when a celebrity does something similar, it’s labeled as bullying.

In his post, Balogun wrote that people are quick to criticize celebrities but fail to recognize that celebrities are human too and deserve the same freedoms.
He urged people to stop the emotional manipulation and allow celebrities to act in ways that safeguard their mental health, just like everyone else.
Balogun’s comments come in the wake of Toyin Abraham’s recent controversy. Social media reports claimed that Abraham arranged for the arrest of someone who defamed her online.
However, Abraham clarified that she did not have anyone arrested but merely reported the offender to the police to file a complaint.
