The Italian transfer journalist reported on 8 July that the Toffees continue to insist on their valuation of the defender, which is around £65m-£70m.
Manchester United’s proposal, a formal and official £50 million bid with a £45 million fee up front and a further £5 million in add-ons, was rejected, with Romano noting there is “no deal again at this stage.”

Manchester United previously made a £35 million offer for Branthwaite with £8 million in add-ons, which was immediately rejected.
The response to the latest bid is unsurprising as Everton have consistently communicated their high valuation of the young defender.
The club sees Branthwaite in the same category as big-money transfers like Harry Maguire, Wesley Fofana, and Josko Gvardiol.
Sean Dyche is reluctant to lose Branthwaite, but if a sale becomes inevitable, he would have to leave him,
