Speaking before a jubilant audience at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi, President Nana Addo reiterated this statement twice, emphasizing the widespread acceptance and achievements of the Free SHS initiative as a pivotal campaign message.
The President highlighted the robust implementation of the policy under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia and NAPO, praising their competence and dedication.

He underscored their pivotal roles in his administration since 2016, particularly NAPO’s tenure as Minister of Education, where he navigated challenges to successfully implement Free SHS.
President Nana Addo urged Ghanaian voters to support the continuity of the policy by endorsing the competence demonstrated by Dr. Bawumia and NAPO over the past eight years.
Former President Mahama had previously affirmed his commitment to the Free SHS policy during a media engagement in Accra on September 8, 2024, acknowledging its importance despite earlier criticisms.
