Afrobeats sensation Anthony Victor, popularly known as Victony, recently opened up about his painful experience with heartbreak. During an appearance on the podcast ‘Is This Seat Taken?’ hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam, the 23-year-old singer recounted the emotional turmoil he faced after discovering his ex-girlfriend’s infidelity.

Victony shared how he initially trusted his ex-girlfriend when she mentioned another guy, believing her assurance that they were just friends. However, he later found out that she had been cheating on him with the same person. Reflecting on the betrayal, Victony described the moment of realization as a mix of anger and humiliation.

“She [my ex-girlfriend] was talking to this other guy and I was aware. She was telling me about this other guy. Me, very open-minded, I was like, this guy was just her friend,” Victony explained. “She told me he was her friend but his name just always came up. And I will be like, what kind of friend is this one? At the end of the day, it turned out he was not her friend. That was very mad because when I realized everything that was going on, I felt very stupid.”
The singer emphasized that this heartbreak occurred when he was much younger, highlighting how the experience has influenced his perspective on relationships.
