Oliver Mellor is the son of Phil Mellor and Marilyn Mellor. His father was a hotelier and his mother was a flight attendant. There isn’t much information about them on the internet.

Mellor’s television career began with notable guest appearances in several popular British series. In 2006, he appeared in the “Doctor Who” episode “Army of Ghosts” as a Torchwood Institute employee named Matt. The same year, he played Det. Monroe in the late-night “Hollyoaks” spin-off “Hollyoaks: In the City,” and Dr. Fitzgerald in ITV’s “The Royal.”

In 2007, Mellor appeared in the BBC soap “EastEnders” as Geoff and guest-starred in three episodes of ITV’s “Emmerdale” as Ricky Walsh. He also featured in an episode of the second series of E4’s drama “Skins,” which was broadcast on March 17, 2007. In 2008, he guest-starred in the BBC daytime soap “Doctors” as Jack Smith.
Mellor’s notable appearances continued with a guest role in “Midsomer Murders” in February 2011, playing Julian Woodley in the episode “Fit For Murder.”
