Highlife sensation Kwabena Kwabena has addressed misconceptions surrounding his hit single, ‘Fakye Me,’ clarifying that the song is not an apology to his ex-wife as widely believed.

Despite the song’s lyrics revolving around a plea for forgiveness and reconciliation in a relationship, Kwabena Kwabena emphasized in an exclusive interview on Okay FM that ‘Fakye Me’ is actually a gospel song directed towards God.
“Oh, that song is not for my ex-wife nor was it dedicated to her. That song was made for everyone to be used to ask God for forgiveness of sin,” Kwabena Kwabena explained, setting the record straight.
He elaborated that the inspiration behind the song stemmed from his personal faith journey and the importance of seeking forgiveness from God.

“When praying to God, it is crucial to begin with asking for forgiveness. That’s the essence of my music,” he added.

Reflecting on the universal need for repentance, Kwabena Kwabena stressed the biblical teaching that all humans sin and fall short of God’s glory.
