Beverly Osu Describes Intense Experience Filming Netflix’s ‘Oloture: The Journey

Beverly Osu recently shared the challenges she faced while filming the Netflix series “Oloture – The Journey” in Mauritania.

In an interview, she described how she coped with the extreme weather conditions in the desert.

Osu explained that shooting in Mauritania for nearly a month was exhausting, but it helped the cast form a strong bond.

She mentioned that the weather was unpredictable, with some days being extremely hot and others freezing cold, making it difficult to adapt. However, the team’s commitment to their roles made the experience intense but rewarding.

“Oloture,” produced by Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Studios, tells the story of an undercover journalist exposing a sex trafficking ring. Osu plays Peju, a young woman trying to leave Nigeria for Europe by road.

Despite the harsh conditions, Osu stayed focused because she knew it was temporary and aimed for good results.

She emphasized that nothing worthwhile comes easily and accepted the challenges as part of her job, which she loves.

She also spoke about her passion for acting, calling it a God-given gift. Osu expressed that she couldn’t see herself in any other profession and would always be involved in the creative field.

Reflecting on her career, she is excited about the future and the opportunities her 30s and 40s will bring.
