Nigerian-American actress Osas Ighodaro recently shared insights about her early life and her journey into acting.

Speaking on Pulse One-on-One, she discussed her upbringing and how she became a renowned actress. Raised in the United States, Osas emphasized that her household was strictly Nigerian.
“I grew up in New York with my family, and even though it was in the US, our home was very Nigerian,” she said.
When asked about her path to acting, Osas recounted a pivotal moment during her teenage years. Her parents were initially against her pursuing acting, and she had to work hard to convince them.
Reflecting on her determination, she mentioned, “I had to do a lot of convincing and crying. I’m stubborn and strong-willed when I want something.”

Osas’s introduction to acting came after she attended modeling school, which helped her overcome low self-esteem.
She shared that the school’s president offered her a scholarship for acting classes, sparking her passion for the craft.
“I wasn’t exposed to acting until I was 13. After my first acting class, I fell in love with it and never looked back. I knew I wanted to pursue this craft,” she recalled.
Today, Osas Ighodaro is a celebrated actress, drawing from her rich Nigerian heritage and experiences in the United States to excel in her career.
