Regarding the Free SHS Bill specifically, Mahama highlighted the need for the bill to undergo proper scrutiny and consultation among stakeholders.

“I haven’t seen the bill yet, and I believe it hasn’t been subjected to stakeholder consultation. We need to review the bill. Once approved by Cabinet, it should be presented in parliament and referred to the appropriate committee,” he explained.

Mahama emphasized the importance of involving parents, teachers, and all stakeholders in the educational sector when making significant changes. “If we are making fundamental changes to our educational system, everyone with a stake in education must be involved,” he added.
