Former Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool star Thiago Alcantara has retired from professional football at the age of 33, according to a report by Fabrizio Romano.

Thiago Alcantara began his professional career in 2008 with Barcelona B, eventually becoming a key player at the Camp Nou before joining Bayern Munich in 2013.

After seven successful years in Germany, Thiago Alcantara moved to Liverpool in 2020.

Thiago Alcantara ‘s career has been significantly affected by injuries, and in the 2023/24 season, he managed to play only five minutes of competitive football.

Despite these challenges, he made 98 appearances for Liverpool before recurring hip and muscle injuries took their toll.

Thiago Alcantara’s decision to retire was influenced by his fitness struggles, although he was briefly linked with a return to La Liga with Girona.

Thiago’s career has been adorned with numerous trophies which include the La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the Bundesliga, and FA Cup.
