Danny Trejo Punches Man Who Threw Water Balloons At July 4th Parade

Actor Danny Trejo found himself amid a brawl during the Sunland-Tujunga 4th of July Parade in Los Angeles. The altercation occurred Thursday morning after Trejo and his friend were struck by water balloons thrown by onlookers.

Trejo, who was a guest at the parade, was driving his vintage car when it was first hit by a water balloon from the crowd. The actor then exited his vehicle to confront the individuals responsible.

“He was more like confronting. It wasn’t like he went there to hit somebody,” said Arnie Abramiam, who recorded the incident on his cell phone camera. “But then I think once he got hit, he was throwing punches.”

The situation escalated when Trejo was hit in the head by another water balloon. This prompted a physical fight, with punches being thrown and people falling to the ground. “Another water balloon was thrown at him. Punches were thrown. People fell down. Blood everywhere,” Abramiam recounted, adding that Trejo’s friend, Mario, sustained a cut to his eye during the altercation.

Both Trejo and Mario were knocked to the ground at various points during the melee. The incident drew significant attention, with many parade attendees witnessing the chaotic scene unfold.
