Indiana State Police are seeking public assistance in locating Bryson Muir, the 14-year-old son of former NFL player Daniel Muir, following allegations from his grandmother that his father physically assaulted him.

According to authorities, Bryson’s grandmother, Cheryl Wright, claimed that Daniel Muir gave Bryson a black eye and a split lip. Wright reported seeing her grandson with a black eye, a swollen face, and a busted lip. She told NBC affiliate WTHR of Indianapolis, “He just said that his dad did it, but he wasn’t angry at his father. He told me that he deserved it and it was OK. So I told him that it wasn’t and that nobody should beat their children like that, not if they love them.”

Bryson was last seen when his parents, Daniel and Kristin Muir, picked him up from Wright’s home near Cleveland on June 16. However, when police pulled over their car shortly afterwards, Bryson was not with them. The Cass County Department of Child Services then contacted Indiana State Police for assistance in investigating the allegations of domestic battery.
Initially, Daniel and Kristin Muir cooperated with authorities but later backed out of an agreement to bring Bryson to meet with investigators. As a result, a Silver Alert was issued for Bryson, who is now considered “missing and endangered.” The state police have stated that the case is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
Indiana State Police are urging anyone with information on Bryson Muir’s whereabouts to come forward.
