Wilson, 74, shared the news with her fans in a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday, July 2 2024 expressing both her recent health challenges and her decision to undergo preventative chemotherapy following a successful operation to remove cancerous tissue.
“I recently underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous,” Wilson wrote. “The operation was successful & I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy & I’ve decided to do it.”
As a result, the Royal Flush Tour, which was set to feature Heart alongside bands like Def Leppard and Journey across more than 50 shows in the United States and Canada, will be postponed to 2025.
Wilson expressed her regret to ticket holders, assuring them that their tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates.

“To the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs,” Wilson wrote. “Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025.”

Heart, originally formed in Seattle alongside her sister Nancy Wilson, rose to fame in the mid-1970s with hits like “Magic Man” and “Crazy on You.”
Their debut album, “Dreamboat Annie,” catapulted them into the spotlight, earning them widespread acclaim in the rock music scene.
Recognized as Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, Heart’s influence on the music industry was celebrated with a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy in 2023.
Earlier this year, the European leg of Heart’s tour was canceled due to a medical procedure requiring recovery time, likely referring to Wilson’s recent operation.
“This is merely a pause,” Wilson reassured her fans. “I’ve much more to sing.”
