Speaking on the “Teju Babyface Deep Dive” podcast, Femi recalled how pervasive cultism was within the industry.
He recounted a terrifying incident where he, along with Prince Eke and other colleagues, found themselves in grave danger and had to flee to safety.
However, Femi highlighted Hanks Anuku as an exception, noting that Anuku boldly stood his ground and prepared to confront the imminent threat.

In addition to the discussion on cultism, Femi opened up about painful memories from his past, including the tragic deaths of 10 friends who were brutally killed on the street where he used to live.
He revealed that he had been unaware of his close friend Orji’s involvement as a key figure in a criminal organization, inadvertently becoming entangled in an armed robbery syndicate.
“Over 35 of my friends were killed from 1990 to 1995 for robbery. In fact, the person who partnered with me, Orji, I didn’t know he was one of the biggest robbers,” Femi disclosed emotionally. “Ten of my childhood friends were slaughtered on our street, they were macheted to death.”
