In a candid interview on the Believers Morning Show, Lilwin expressed shock and disappointment over the public’s response to the accident.
He revealed that instead of receiving sympathy and support during a traumatic time, he faced harsh criticism and calls for accountability.
“When I see accidents on television, I sympathize with the victims. However, when I had my accident, no one sympathized with me. Instead, they criticized me and called for my accountability. It was made to seem as if I had intentionally killed the child, who was in his father’s car,” Lilwin lamented.
The actor went on to question why he had encountered such treatment in Ghana. “I questioned God for bringing me to this country,” he added.

Reflecting further on the ordeal, Lilwin likened his experience to living out a dramatic movie titled ‘A Country Called Ghana’. He expressed disappointment in those who followed the story, suggesting that true supporters would have shown sympathy rather than criticism.
“I think my life after the accident has been like a movie. I am acting out a movie called ‘A Country Called Ghana.’ I’m not sure all those who followed the story loved me because if they did, they would not be criticizing me but rather sympathizing with me for the challenges I am facing,” Lilwin said.
He also voiced concerns that some individuals might not be happy about his survival, emphasizing that he wished for understanding and forgiveness from the child’s family instead of continued animosity.
