Davido, the famous Afrobeats star, has reached a big milestone in his music career. His album ‘Timeless’ has now been played more than 450 million times on Spotify.

Davido has been a top African artist for over 10 years, helping to make Afrobeats popular around the world. ‘Timeless’ is Davido’s fourth album. It came out on March 31, 2024, and has been very successful.
The album broke records for the most plays on its first day and first week for any Nigerian album on Spotify. One of the main songs from the album, ‘Unavailable’, has been played over 100 million times.
This is the first time a lead song by Davido has done this well. Other popular songs from ‘Timeless’ include ‘Feel’, ‘Kante’, and ‘No Competition’.

The album was so good that it got three Grammy nominations. ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Feel’ were nominated for song awards, and the whole album was nominated for Best Global Album.
With ‘Timeless’ doing so well, Davido’s music has now been played more than 2 billion times on Spotify.
This makes him the 6th most-played Nigerian artist on Spotify, behind other big names like Wizkid (6.9B), Burna Boy (6.2B), Rema (3.6B), Tems (2.5B), and Ckay 2.2B).
