Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has taken legal action against Fox News. He claims the TV network showed private photos of him without clothes, calling it “revenge p0rn.”

The problem started with a show on Fox Nation in 2022 called “The Trial of Hunter Biden.” Fox Nation is an online service owned by the same company as Fox News, which is known for supporting conservative views.
The show pretended to put Hunter Biden on trial for corruption. It wasn’t real, and the network said so at the start of each episode.
The fake trial was about Hunter’s past work in Ukraine and China, which some people think was wrong. But he’s never been charged with anything related to this work.
Hunter Biden says the show used real photos of him without clothes and doing private things. He believes Fox did this to make him look bad and upset him.

These photos came from a laptop Hunter left at a repair shop and never got back. The laptop’s contents have been shared widely and caused problems for Hunter.
Fox News says Hunter’s lawsuit is just about politics and has no real basis. They say they took down the show soon after Hunter complained in April 2024.
The network claims they have the right to report on newsworthy events about Hunter Biden, even if they make him look bad.
In June, Hunter was found guilty of having a gun when he wasn’t allowed to. The trial showed he had struggled with drug and alcohol problems for years.
Hunter Biden will face another trial in September for tax fraud. This could cause problems for his father’s campaign to be re-elected as president.
