Hajia4Reall, whose real name is Mona Faiz Montrage, was recently sentenced to one year and one day in a U.S. prison for her involvement in a romance scam amounting to over $2 million.

Initially arrested in the UK in November 2022, she was extradited to the U.S. in May 2023.

Despite pleading guilty in February 2024 and facing a potential five-year sentence, the judge showed leniency, considering factors including her cooperation with the court and commitment to reimburse victims.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on June 29, 2024, Ola Michael credited Hajia4Reall’s decision to cooperate, admit guilt on specific charges, and engage competent legal representation for securing a favorable sentence.

“Don’t underestimate her intelligence; she selected a savvy lawyer and secured the best possible outcome,” Michael commented during the live broadcast.

He highlighted that while similar cases typically resulted in sentences ranging from 36 to 42 months, Hajia4Reall’s sentence of 12 months and one day underscored the effectiveness of her legal strategy.

“Her proactive approach, including demonstrating remorse and concerns for her child’s future in court, likely influenced the judge’s decision,” Michael added. “She followed legal advice wisely, and it paid off.”

Michael also noted the testimonials supporting Hajia4Reall’s character and the impact of her remorseful demeanor during the trial.

“Her lawyers’ guidance and her sincere expressions of regret were pivotal in shaping the court’s leniency,” he concluded.
