Melkamu Frauendorf, the 20-year-old midfielder,  who joined Liverpool from Hoffenheim in 2020, played mainly for the academy, making two first-team appearances, including a Carabao Cup start against Derby.

Melkamu Frauendorf quickly secured a move to Hannover 96, where he will initially join the under-23s but has the opportunity to progress.

Hannover’s sporting director, Marcus Mann, highlighted the club’s plan: “With the U23s’ promotion to the 3rd division, we showed him a way to break into men’s football in Germany and prove himself at a good level. If he succeeds, the door is open for him to move up.”

Melkamu Frauendorf expressed his excitement: “I am very happy to be back in Germany and to have the opportunity to play in the 3rd division at Hannover 96.”
