Former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made a generous donation of GH₵50,000 to the Buzzstop Boys to support their sanitation initiatives.

The Buzzstop Boys, a group composed of young, educated, and dedicated individuals, received the donation during a visit to Mr. Mahama’s office on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Mr. Mahama expressed admiration for the group’s commitment to improving sanitation across the country.
“I am encouraged by the work you young people are doing, filling in the gaps where necessary,” Mr. Mahama remarked during the presentation of the donation. He highlighted the importance of sanitation in national development and assured the group of his support.

Mr. Mahama also mentioned that sanitation will be a key focus in the formulation of his party’s manifesto for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
He commended the Buzzstop Boys for their spirit of volunteerism and community service, emphasizing that his contribution is not driven by partisan interests.
“I hope other political leaders will also find it worthwhile to support and empower groups like yours,” Mr. Mahama added, underscoring the importance of collective efforts in addressing sanitation challenges in Ghana.
The donation from Mr. Mahama is expected to bolster the Buzzstop Boys’ ongoing efforts in promoting cleanliness and hygiene within their communities, reinforcing their role as proactive agents of change.
