NDC Communication Officer allegedly Dies by Suicide at Awutu Bontrase

Kadevi Selasy, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication Officer for Awutu Senya West Constituency, has tragically died by suicide in Nkwadum, a suburb of Awutu Bontrase in the Central Region’s Awutu Senya West District.

According to reports, the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Selasy reportedly asked his wife to accompany him outside to relieve himself. After complying the first time, she declined when he asked her to accompany him again later.

Concerned after he did not return for some time, she went to check on him and tragically discovered him hanging, having taken his own life.

The circumstances surrounding Selasy’s decision to end his life remain unclear, leaving family, friends, and the community shocked and devastated by his sudden passing.
