Michael Kayode has established himself as one of Serie A’s most promising young defenders since breaking into Fiorentina’s first team.
Born in Borgomanero, Michael Kayode started his youth career at Juventus before moving to ASDC Gozzano.
Michael Kayode later joined Fiorentina’s youth ranks and made his senior debut in the 2023/24 season. The 19-year-old impressed with nearly 3,000 minutes of game time across 37 appearances, contributing one goal and four assists.
Aston Villa has joined the race to secure Michael Kayode ’s services, possibly looking to replace Matty Cash, who might leave in the summer transfer window. However, Villa’s initial offer fell short of Fiorentina’s valuation.
