Newcastle United is still interested in acquiring 27-year-old striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton, and a deal might be revived later this summer, according to a number of media reports.

Earlier reports reveal that Newcastle initially pulled out of talks due to Everton’s £40 million asking price, which they considered very unrealistic.
However, Newcastle United’s interest in Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains alive. With Everton no longer under immediate pressure to sell, a deal seems unlikely at the current asking price.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is entering the final year of his contract and is not inclined to sign an extension, which keeps the possibility of a transfer open.
Should Newcastle return with a new offer later in the transfer window, it could be seriously considered by Everton. This potential deal could provide Everton manager Sean Dyche with additional funds to strengthen his squad.
For Newcastle, securing Calvert-Lewin would bolster their attacking options as they look to improve their squad for the upcoming season.
