Real Madrid Confirm Exit Of Nacho Fernandez

Real Madrid has officially confirmed the departure of club captain Nacho Fernandez after more than two decades of service.

With his contract set to expire on June 30, Nacho Fernandez has chosen not to renew and has opted to leave as a free agent, reportedly heading to Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah.

In a statement, Real Madrid expressed gratitude and fondness for Nacho, recognizing him as a legendary figure within the club.

They stated, “Real Madrid CF announces that our captain Nacho has decided to conclude his career as a Real Madrid player. Real Madrid wishes to convey its appreciation and affection to Nacho, one of the great legends of our club.”

Nacho Fernandez, who joined Real Madrid’s academy at the age of ten in 2001, made his senior debut under Jose Mourinho’s tenure and has been a fixture in the first-team squad ever since.

Throughout his tenure, the 34-year-old defender amassed an impressive record of 364 appearances and clinched an unprecedented 26 titles.
