Arsenal, who liked Luiz for a long time, didn’t get him because Juventus did first. The Serie A club will pay a fee of €28 million for the 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder.

Juventus will also give Aston Villa two players, Samuel Iling-Junior, a 20-year-old midfielder who used to play for Chelsea’s youth team, and Enzo Barrenechea, who plays defense, from Juventus, as part of the deal.

Luiz has been important for Aston Villa’s good season, where they came fourth in the Premier League and got into the Champions League.
Last season, the 26-year-old scored ten goals and made ten assists in 53 games. He moved to Villa from Manchester City in 2019 and has been great for them.
The total valuation of the transfer is thought to be €50 million. Luiz has been a key performer for Aston Villa, and his departure will be a blow for them.
However, receiving a €28 million fee along with two players seems like a good deal for Aston Villa. It remains to be seen how Iling-Junior and Barrenechea will impact the club next season.
