Bayo Onanuga, the President’s advisor on information, suggested this during a meeting with online editors in Abuja. A report about this meeting was shared by ACOE’s leader, Mr Martins Odiete.

Onanuga reminded everyone of past initiatives like ‘Operation Feed the Nation’ by former President Obasanjo and how former President Buhari had to deal with food shortages by releasing stored food to the public.

He admitted that things are tough and not going as President Bola Tinubu hoped, but he promised that within a year, Nigerians will see positive changes from the government’s work.
Onanuga said that every country faces hard times, and Nigeria is working hard to lessen these difficulties for its people. Earlier, Odiete highlighted the need to work closely with the presidential media team, especially when Nigerians need reliable information from their leaders.
He stressed that in today’s world where information is everywhere online, it’s crucial to share news responsibly and accurately for society’s benefit.
Odiete thanked Onanuga for the meeting and mentioned that ACOE makes sure only the right people join their group.
