He pointed out that with Ghanaians facing many problems, the 2024 election should not be treated lightly or as a joke. Mahama criticized how some political campaigns make light of the presidency, like using a symbolic gesture of passing a mythical animal.

He emphasized that being president is a serious matter, especially with the current difficulties in Ghana. The former president also called out Vice President Dr. Bawumia for taking credit for good things but not accepting blame for problems under the current government.

Mahama said that old catchphrases and dishonest tactics are not acceptable in Ghana’s politics today and won’t be accepted by voters.

He remarked that it’s not right for someone to claim they led all successes but deny any part in failures, calling it an insult to voters’ intelligence.

Mahama insisted that such behavior is not suitable for someone who wants to lead the country.
