The controversy unfolded during a discussion where Sefa Kayi questioned the pool of supporters from which Alan would select ministers if elected president.

Expressing his disapproval on Facebook, A Plus accused Sefa Kayi of receiving substantial government funds for managing media damage control during bank closures.

In a direct retort, A Plus wrote, “He will appoint them from the same place you collected millions of Ghana cedis for government-sponsored damage control when banks were shut down!”

Sefa Kayi’s impartiality has come under scrutiny, with critics highlighting his perceived reluctance to scrutinize setbacks under the Akufo-Addo administration compared to previous governments.

His acceptance of a role in a state institution appointed by President Akufo-Addo has also fueled controversy.

The exchange between A Plus and Sefa Kayi underscores ongoing debates surrounding media independence and accountability in Ghanaian politics.
