Originally scheduled for June 24th, 2024, the All Stars reunion was expected to bring together top personalities from previous seasons of Big Brother Naija.
However, during an Instagram livestream Q&A session with her fans, Mercy Eke disclosed that Multichoice had decided to cancel the show.
The exact reasons behind the cancellation were not divulged by Mercy during the session.
The news quickly sparked reactions across social media platforms, with fans expressing disappointment and frustration over the abrupt cancellation of the reunion. Many took to Twitter and Instagram to share their opinions.
Gracefully tweeted, “Next time they should choose a bonafide winner rather than promoting a pity party narrative! Sick and tired of that rubbish.”
Chukwudi commented, “Shame didn’t allow them to consent to the reunion. Bayes EIN was really a slap on their faces. LoL Africa decided.”
Bunka expressed, “Big brother brand with wayo, after they cheated Ceec and Mercy to mk baye win. That was when I started believing Tacha that it is a staged show. They always gives winners that won’t call them out for non-payment of cash price. All their winners looking poorer that the rest housemate and u wonder why.”
The cancellation of the All Stars reunion has left fans questioning Multichoice’s decision and speculating about the future of similar events.
