Nigerian singer Jaywon has issued a sharp response to rapper Odumodublvck‘s recent podcast comments criticizing his claim of paving the way for artists in the industry.

During a podcast interview, Odumodu revisited Jaywon’s assertion of paving the way for Nigerian artists by releasing just one song each year.
He contrasted Jaywon’s approach with that of Olamide, whom he praised as a true pacesetter in the industry.
Odumodu highlighted Olamide’s modesty in achievements, citing instances where people commend his support without him boasting, including booking a private jet for a video shoot.
In his rebuttal, Jaywon expressed frustration, accusing Odumodu of using his name to stay relevant across multiple podcasts. He emphasized his belief that even a single record of his would outlast Odumodu’s entire career and asserted that Odumodu still has much ground to cover to reach his level.

Jaywon remarked, “The only reason why you are relevant this whole year. You go show na Jaywon. You go podcast na Jaywon because you are really not all that. Just a fluke and instead of you to calm down and enjoy the fame and the attention you are getting. You want to banter with me. I pity you!”
“And if you must know boy @Odumodublvck_ that one record you keep coming for everywhere you go will still outlive your entire career. For you to even come close, you still have more work to do omo eru!!
“If not that Afrobeats has been watered down, is someone like mumu black supposed be anywhere near the rappers in this industry. I kinda love your hustling spirit and zeal before now cuz the same Abuja na him all of us hustle comot but NO bro. You don cross da line!”
