This improvement is notable as it’s been some time since the Black Stars have seen a rise in their ranking, especially after breaking their streak of seven games without a win earlier in June.

Their turnaround started with an exciting win against Mali on June 6 during the World Cup qualifiers for 2026. Ghana secured a 2-1 victory thanks to second-half goals from Ernest Nuamah and Jordan Ayew.

They continued their strong performance by winning a close game against the Central African Republic (CAR) with a score of 4-3. This win placed Ghana at the top of their qualifying group and helped improve their FIFA ranking.

Globally, Argentina continues to lead the FIFA rankings, with France and Belgium right behind them.

The recent successes of the Black Stars have brought new energy and optimism to the team as they prepare for more qualifiers and tournaments ahead.

They are gearing up for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in 2025, followed by more World Cup qualifiers.
