Asante Kotoko has made significant changes to their squad, announcing the departure of 18 players after the 2023/24 season.

The team, known as the Porcupine Warriors, had a mixed performance this season, finishing sixth in the Ghana Premier League.
On Tuesday, the club revealed that it had mutually parted ways with 11 players, including their captain and goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim.
The other players leaving are Kalo Ouattara, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, Nicholas Mensah, John Tedeku, Sherif Mohammed, George Mfegue, Serge Eric Zeze, and Moise Pouaty.
The club thanked these players for their contributions and wished them well in the future.


The following day, Kotoko announced that it had terminated the contracts of seven more players by mutual agreement.

These players are Samuel Asamoah, Nanabayin Amoah, Isahaku Fiseini, Rocky Dwamena, Richmond Opoku, Julius Ofori Ziggy, and Shadrack Addo. The club expressed gratitude for their service and extended best wishes for their future careers.
Kotoko also paid special tribute to Danlad Ibrahim, who spent eight years with the club, calling it his home and thanking him for his dedication and growth over the years. The club shared a video highlighting his best moments and achievements.
With these departures, head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum faces a challenging task in rebuilding the team for the upcoming season.
The clearout marks a new chapter for Asante Kotoko as they aim to assemble a strong and competitive squad.
