Ndombélé, aged 27, left Tottenham after a record transfer of €62m from Olympique Lyonnais in 2019. His departure followed loan periods at Lyon, Napoli, and Galatasaray.

Earlier this month, he became a free agent after agreeing to terminate his contract with the English club. It seems likely that Ndombélé will return to play in France’s Ligue 1. Both Nice and Lille are eager to recruit him for their upcoming European campaigns.
Marseille is also interested in Ndombélé as a possible substitute for Geoffrey Kondogbia or Jordan Veretout if they transfer out this summer. However, Marseille won’t be able to offer him the chance to play in European competitions next season.
The 27-year-old French international has had a notable career trajectory, with his most recent move being a loan to Napoli for the 2022/23 season.
